What is Dynamometry Testing?
Dynamometry uses calibrated equipment to measure muscle force objectively. Using tools such as the VALD DynaMo, we can compare sides, identify measurable deficits and track change over time. The results support clinical reasoning and help tailor rehabilitation or performance programmes to your individual goals.
Do You Use Dynamometry During Standard Sessions?
Yes, we incorporate dynamometry into regular physiotherapy or sports rehab sessions. These in-session assessments do not include a full report and are reserved for patients already under Paulina’s care, with a confirmed diagnosis, completing a structured rehabilitation plan. Using objective strength data during sessions helps guide your exercises in real time, ensuring safe progression without the need for a separate dedicated assessment appointment.
Who Can Benefit from Dynamometry Testing?

Athletes
Improve performance and help with injury risk mitigation.

Rehabilitation patients
Track recovery, guide exercise progression and inform return to sport decisions.

Gym-goers
Optimise strength training, monitor improvements objectively.

Older adults or chronic conditions
Monitor strength changes and maintain functional independence.
Dynamometry testing is ideal for anyone who wants to understand their body better. With dynamometry testing, you get clear, evidence-based insights tailored to your individual goals.
More Than Just Dynamometry
While dynamometry is a valuable component of our assessments, it is only one part of a much broader and more comprehensive testing process. Our approach goes beyond strength measurement to provide a full picture of your physical capacity, rehabilitation needs, and performance potential. Dynamometry is integrated into this wider package to ensure accurate, meaningful, and actionable insights.
As part of your assessment, we may also evaluate:
Joint Range of Motion
Mobility & Flexibility
Functional Control & Stability
Biomechanics
By understanding your individual goals, whether rehabilitative or performance-focused, we tailor the assessment process to deliver the precise information you need. This holistic approach ensures every person receives a clear, personalised pathway toward improved strength, function, and overall physical health.

Paulina will confirm your background and ensure safety. Then you’ll complete test familiarisation.
Dynamometry Testing
Non-invasive tests will be conducted to measure peak force, time to peak force and peak rate of development and across key muscle groups.
Immediate Feedback & Report
You will also receive detailed feedback and a written report that clearly presents your results in an easy-to-understand format, highlighting key areas for improvement and actionable next steps.
Commence Your Training Plan
If selected as part of the package, you will receive a fully customized 6-week training plan built around your testing results and personal goals. This program will be delivered through our app and designed to support either rehabilitation or performance development, depending on your needs.
Re-test
If selected as part of the package a re-test date will be booked. Re-testing at key milestones — every 6–12 weeks during rehab or periodically during training — allows you to see exactly how far you’ve come. Follow-ups provide motivation, accountability, and confidence that your hard work is paying off.
See Your Results. Understand Your Strength.
Objective testing provides measurable information to guide recovery or training. Whether the goal is restoring symmetry after injury, building strength or managing injury risk, your plan can be informed by repeatable data.
